BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues
ANALYSIS: Jacob deGrom had not been that impressive in his minor league career with middling ERA numbers in the 4.00 + and not overly impressive strikeout totals, leading many to talk about other Mets prospects such as Matt Harvey, Noah Syndergaard, Zach Wheeler, and others before they mentioned deGrom. However, deGrom's numbers started to look a bit better in Triple-A this season when he pitched to a 2.58 ERA,6.81 K/9 and 1.28 WHIP. So far, that success has translated to the big leagues with deGrom pitching to a 2.79 ERA, 1.26 WHIP. and most impressively a 8.59 K/9.
With his 11.2% swing-and-miss rate, the strikeouts are for real for deGrom, and as long as he continues this, he is worth riding in all leagues. Any pitcher with decently high strikeout totals as well as a low ERA is worth an add, especially if they are pitching against National League teams. I missed out on picking up deGrom in my leagues, don't make the same mistake I did. deGrom is out there in 46% of leagues for your clicking pleasure.
