BALLER MOVE: Add in Deeper Leagues, NL-Only Leagues
ANALYSIS: Jaime Garcia has pitched very well since coming off the DL, and is someone that should be considered off the waiver wire in most fantasy baseball leagues (except for shallow formats). It seems like this guy is always one of those post-hype sleepers, but now that he's back and playing on a solid St. Louis team the upside is there again. In his first 2 starts, Garcia holds a 4.12 ERA and 0.81 WHIP, with a sizzling 19 K vs. 0 BB in 19 2/3 innings pitched. The strikeout to walk ratio is very promising, and facing NL lineups only makes him a more valuable option off the waiver wire. If you're looking for some starting pitching, Garcia is only 21% owned in Yahoo leagues and is scheduled to face Kansas City next. Feel free to take a flier off the wire, and see how this plays out. Maybe you can catch a viable long-term starter on the cheap for your fantasy baseball team.
