BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 5% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Maybe it's the playing time or the Seattle youth movement, but Jake Fraley finally looks like a complete major league product in 2021. He had struggled mightily in his previous 66 AB in 2019 and 2020 for the M's, but in 40 AB this season, Fraley had struck for two home runs, stolen four bases, and hit for a .250/.492/.450 slash. He had similar success for Triple-A Tacoma this season in just 22 AB, hitting for two home runs, stealing two bases, and netting a 1.182 OPS.
The 26-year-old has encouragingly only gotten better with time as he progressed through the minor leagues. In 230 Double-A AB he had 11 HR, 16 steals in 21 tries, and a .313/.386/.539 slash; while in 174 Triple-A AB he has produced ten HR, eight steals in ten tries, and a .287/.357/.569 slash. Fraley's power is quite limited, as his average exit velocity is just 82.8 MPH with only 19.4% hard contact, but with his natural speed and 71% combined line drives and grounders, his .286 BABIP looks more than sustainable. He has always had success in terms of batting average, OBP, and steals, and in rolling that package together since his 2021 MLB arrival, Jake Fraley is now a worthwhile addition in deeper leagues.
