BALLER MOVE: Add in Most Leagues
ANALYSIS: The Tampa Bay Ray's bullpen has been manned by a number of relievers, but none have been as successful as Jake McGee. McGee seems to have been the closer in waiting for a couple of seasons, and now he's getting more of an opportunity, with 3 saves in the past 5 days. McGee is a lefty that has some heat on his fastball so to nobody's surprise he averages over a strikeout an inning which is huge for late inning relievers. McGee should run away with the closer job, if Joe Maddon just gives him the chance. Pitching to a 3-0 record, an ERA of 1.57, a WHIP of 0.85, and has 47 Ks in 40 innings, he has dynamic stuff which will get him more saves if the Rays start to win some more games. Although McGee had a very rough outing Tuesday, giving up 2 ER en route to the save, going forward I would pick up McGee in any league that you are rewarded for saves, ERA, and WHIP. He should eventually cement himself as the closer barring an unforeseen endorsement of Grant Balfour by Maddon. If you need saves, add McGee, though you can probably wait until the picture clears itself up a bit more in shallow leagues.
