ANALYSIS: The Jacksonville Jaguars have started to form the semblance of winning ways, and a considerable part of that has been the reliability and versatility of 2017 draftee Jamal Agnew. The former All-Pro kick returner has continued his stellar special teams play so far in 2021, and is also well into the best season of his career from scrimmage by a significant margin.
Though he didn't even have a target until week four, the pace has quickly picked up for the San Diego alumnus. Following a week four showing of 38 scrimmage yards on a single carry and target, Agnew has become a rock for Trevor Lawrence in the Jags offense, combining for 30 targets (7.5), 20 receptions (5.0), 184 receiving yards (46.0), one receiving touchdown, and 19 rushing yards on two carries. While the likes of Dan Arnold, Marvin Jones, and Laviska Shenault have been greater fixtures in the offense, Agnew's production has been heating up of late, and he is properly filling a role that they have been trying to utilize in Jacksonville for a long time. In deeper PPR formats, Jamal Agnew's production from all over the field is worth betting on.
