Analysis: Whether you like Jameis Winston or not, it is hard to deny that he has been taking care of the ball more as the season has progressed. After tossing a horrendous seven interceptions in the first four weeks of play (an average of 1.75 interceptions per game), Winston has now gone three weeks without a single pick. In that span, Winston has also completed 50 of 77 passes for a 65% completion percentage and 13.67 yards per completion.
Winston has thrown four touchdown passes in the last three weeks and has had passer ratings of 122.5, 128.1, and 85.0. He hasn't really had much trouble accumulating yardage this season--he has only had one game under 200 yards passing (Week 8) and has averaged 235 passing yards per game. Winston has done damage with his legs as well, averaging 13 yards per game with two rushing touchdowns.
Jameis Winston has slowly but surely found his stride as a developing pocket passer by limiting his frequent turnovers and increasing his receivers' YPC. Given the fact that he is also doing damage with his legs and the return of Austin Seferian-Jenkins looming, Winston should be added by fantasy football managers.
