Jamison Crowder (WR, NYJ) - Fantasy Football Week 9 Waiver Wire Pickups

BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues

ROSTERED IN: 19% of Leagues

ANALYSIS: We have yet to see Jamison Crowder put more than three consecutive games together, but we should be getting there as soon as the end of next week's slate of games. That's because JC missed all games through Week 3 to start the year, then played a couple, then the Jets went on their Week 6 Bye, and Crowder has now finally played a couple of back-to-back matches in the past two weeks and looks to be ready to stay on the field ROS--if injuries respect his body, that is.

Crowder started his season with a true bang scoring 19.1 PPR points in Week 4 to the tune of a 9-7-61-1 performance good enough to finish WR14 on that slate. His next couple of games were definitely not that great (8.4 and 7.4 FP) but he still made it to the top-50 receivers those two weeks. Now, reaching the midseason, Crowder is coming off his second-best game of the year--even though he had to "endure" rookie QB and 2018 fifth-rounder Mike White tossing him the rock.

Somehow, Crowder was good to reach a fantastic 8-of-9 on receptions for 84 receiving yards on the day facing Cincinnati on Sunday. It's the highest YPR mark of his season (10.5) and he could have finished with a couple more PPR points had he not fumbled the rock once, which would have put him close to the WR1 realm. Crowder has missed quite a few games and the environment in New York is definitely not the greatest, and that's what knocks his value down a bit and makes me label him a 14+ Team league target instead of one for shallower formats. The Bye is already in the rearview mirror, though, so if he avoids injury trouble you'd be securing yourself a weekly starter ROS.
