BALLER MOVE: Add In 12-Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 17% of leagues
ANALYSIS: JaMychal Green broke his jaw, and he missed time, and Jaren Jackson Jr. took his spot in the Grizzlies starting unit. And while Green isn't getting that job back, he's still a strong piece off the Memphis bench who can help fantasy owners in the right situation.
In four games since returning to the court, Green is averaging 9.5 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game while adding one three-pointer per game on 44.4 percent shooting from deep. He's hitting 47.1 percent of his shots, and hasn't missed a free throw (though he's only taken two over that span).
Green doesn't possess the same upside he has in past seasons, but even a nine-point, seven-rebound average while adding in production from deep can be beneficial to fantasy owners. Memphis is having a surprisingly strong season and their big man rotation is part of why, though the team currently averages the fewest rebounds per game. Green can help them boost those numbers, which is part of why he should continue to see 25-plus minutes per game off the bench.
JaMychal Green isn't an exciting fantasy option, but he's a solid producer, and sometimes you need that solid, gritty guy to get you numbers. The Grizzlies will depend a lot on Green this season, and he'll be a solid addition to many fantasy rosters.
