BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 51% Fleaflicker
ANALYSIS: It’s not cool to own Jason Heyward in fantasy leagues, but he looks prepared to bounce back from a disastrous 2016 season. In fact, both his peripheral and raw counting stats to start the season look much like his seasons prior to 2016. Most notably, his soft contact rate is actually the lowest of his career and he has become more aggressive at the plate.
He has managed to do so without sacrificing much contact, as his strikeout rate is still only 16 percent. The result is three early-season home runs, a nice jump in power from last season and his recent history. Add in a chance for double-digit steals, and Heyward has a chance to be a five- category contributor.
