BALLER MOVE: Add in 14-Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 6% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Hopefully Jaxson Hayes didn't tune in to watch his alma mater Longhorns get bounced in the Round of 64 by #14 seed Abilene Christian, because that could get in one's head. The second-year NBA center has seen a slight reduction in PT this season (16.9 to 13.3 MPG) as a result of Steven Adams' move to Louisiana, the full-on unleashing of Zion Williamson, and the frontcourt depth that New Orleans has gathered. Fortunately for the 6'11, explosively athletic Hayes, 13.3 minutes is plenty of time to make your mark on both ends, particularly when you manage to take a big step up in efficiency from the field.
Hayes has really provided Stan Van Gundy with prime bang-for-his-buck, producing career-high figures of 75% (true shooting rate), 73.9% (effective field goal rate), 14.5% (rebounding percentage), and 1.2% (steal percentage), while keeping his block rate (his bread and butter) steady at 4%. That has translated to 14.3 points, 9.3 boards, and 1.4 blocks per 36 minutes of play; and while that might be a bit detached from reality, Hayes has played more this month than he has all season at 16.4 minutes on average, and in that time has put up 8.4 points, 3.3 boards, and 1.0 block per game with an absolutely automatic 85.5% true shooting rate. If an injury were to befall a member of NOLA's frontcourt, Jaxson Hayes might get the time to flourish, but for now, in 13-18 minutes he can provide just what you're looking for across his three key categories in deeper leagues.

Fantasy Basketball Deeper-League Waiver Wire Adds for Week 24: Isaac Okoro, Kris Dunn, Josh Richardson, Corey Kispert, Delon Wright
The deeper a fantasy basketball league, the harder it is to hit a winner with your last few picks. It is also harder to find decent help from the waiver wire if your late-round picks don't do you justice. If you picked up a few stinkers, don't lose hope just yet. I will try to […]
Onyeka Okongwu (SF/PF, ATL): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 16% of leagues ANALYSIS: The Hawks are currently the 10th seed in the East but are also tied for 8th and 9th with Brooklyn and Charlotte respectively. There's even a chance (albeit small) that Atlanta could rise as high as to reach the 7th seed if […]
Immanuel Quickley (PG, NYK): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 48% of leagues ANALYSIS: If we use common basketball sense, then the New York Knicks and Coach Thibs should try and see what the young guys such as Immanuel Quickley have in them and what they can provide the franchise with ROS, as the NYK are […]
Deni Avdija (SG/SF, WAS): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 37% of leagues ANALYSIS: One would reasonably think that a player seeing a playing-time boost such as that of Deni Avdija's this month would make said player drop his efficiency numbers. Well, not the case for the Wiz Wing by the looks of it. Avdija has […]
Nicolas Claxton (PF/C, BRK): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 24% of leagues ANALYSIS: The Nets can finally rest assured they'll make the play-in portion of the season. Not quite what you expected when the season got rolling back in October, but at least more than what the Lakers would have accomplished a week from now. […]
