BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 32% of Yahoo! Leagues
ANALYSIS: Hooray! The 76ers finally won a game! In case you couldn't tell that was loaded with thinly veiled sarcasm. Finally getting one in the win column is not totally irrelevant, though--at least not for fantasy purposes. It removes a massive load from the players' backs and lets them focus on what was going well for the team in that win. On Tuesday, and as of the last three games or so, one of those positives has been Jerami Grant.
While Nerlens Noel has been out due to injury, the 6'8" Grant has filled in very well. Naturally that might make you think when Noel comes back, which he did Tuesday, that Grant's value takes a hit. However Grant kept things rolling by scoring 14 points on six of seven shooting, grabbing seven boards, dishing out four assists, and blocking four shots. The most important thing to note is that he still played 31 minutes. So while his time in the starting five might be done, Grant should still see significant minutes if he continues to play well.
Needless to say it's time to add him in fantasy leagues. He brings solid scoring and rebound numbers to the table, but what truly makes him valuable is his strong blocking abilities along with the occasional assists, steals and three-pointers. Even if he can't help the Sixers rack up some wins, he can certainly help your fantasy teams.
