BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 6% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Cincinnati Reds outfielder Jesse Winker leaves a little to be desired in the way of batting average. He has also not flashed any of the power that we saw from him in his brief stint in the majors last season.
However, none of that matters, because he is taking after Joey Votto in the plate discipline department. Entering play on Thursday, Winker owns a walk rate higher than his strikeout rate (22% walk rate versus 18% strikeout rate), and his OBP is a ridiculous .407, especially considering that his batting average sits below .250.
Considering that he has been a .300 hitter in the minor leagues (2016 and 2017) and had a .529 slugging percentage in 47 games for the Reds last season, fantasy owners have to believe the hits will come. His ownership is ridiculously low for a player that has a .384 OBP in 62 MLB games and he is a must-own in deeper formats.
