Joey Terdoslavich was been activated from the DL and made his season debut on Friday against the Pittsburgh Pirates, according to CBS Sports. Terdoslavich served as a pinch hitter and went 0-for-1 in his debut.
The Atlanta Braves utility man has been battling a wrist injury all season. During his rehab assignment, he had a .310/.389/.448 batting line. He'll back up at first base and the corner outfield spots for now, according to the report.
Terdoslavich has played in 64 games in two big league seasons with the Braves. In 89 at-bats, he has a .225 BA.
The 26-year-old's is the replacement for Eric Young Jr, who was designated for assignment on Friday. The speedster had a .169 BA in 35 games this season.
The Braves are 26-27 going into Friday’s game against Pittsburgh. They are still very much in the race for the NL East despite what was supposed to be a rebuilding season.
