BALLER MOVE: Add in AL-Only Leagues, Most Mixed Leagues
ANALYSIS: The 30-year-old Jaso has found his place in baseball within Billy Beane's platoon system. He has been playing half his time at DH, the other half behind the dish. Now, with Yoenis Cespedes out of Oakland, things should open up for Jaso to play everyday, likely at DH, with Brandon Moss getting more time in the outfield. Jaso has never had much pop, and still doesn't, but has a knack for getting on-base, and will continue to score and knock in runs in a potent offense like Oakland's. He will likely even see those numbers increase as he sees more at-bats. He currently sports a .358 OBP, which puts him eighth in all of baseball among catcher-eligible players, ahead of guys like Buster Posey and Evan Gattis. Utilizing a DH could be tricky, seeing as oftentimes they can only be plugged into a DH or utility slot, but Jaso has catcher eligibility, which makes him extremely valuable. Jaso should be owned in all AL-Only leagues and deep, 12-team or 14-team mixed leagues, as well as any shallower mixed leagues that happen to use two catcher slots.
