Baller Move: Leave on the waiver wire

Analysis: Bell rushed the ball a season-high 14 times last Sunday against the Green Bay Packers, but for only 17 yards. It's surprising how much Bell is owned considering he has done next to nothing all season. It's been a merry-go-round of confusion for running backs in Detroit this season, making it difficult to start any of the three on the ineffective committee. The other two backs, Theo Riddick and Ameer Abdullah, have been relatively non-existent as well, resulting in a constant waiting game for one to finally break out.
Detroit quarterback Matthew Stafford has thrown the ball over 30 times in all but one game this season, so it's pretty clear that the Lions will continue to rely heavily on the passing game. Bell has a favorable matchup this week against an Oakland Raiders defense that has allowed 115.3 rushing yards per game, according to Yahoo! Sports. Even when given the starting nod, Bell will likely share carries with Abdullah. Bell appeared sluggish toward the end of the Green Bay game as Detroit attempted to solidify their surprising win. He was also stopped for two yards or less on 11 of his runs. Bell is difficult to trust and should remain on the waiver wire.
