ANALYSIS: India was a hot pickup the first week of the season since he started his major league career with at least one hit in six consecutive games. Then the jump from AA in 2019 straight to the majors in 2020 started to take its toll as he went just 6-46(.130) over the rest of the month. It's time to start paying attention to the rookie again. India is hitting .315 with three homers, eight RBI, and three steals in June. That kind of power/speed combo is good in any league, especially when it comes with multi-position eligibility.

This power/speed is nothing new to India. He hit 11 homers and stole 11 bases in the minors in 2019. In his final year at Florida, India hit 21 homers and swiped 15 bags. With six homers and five steals so far this season, there's reason to believe that he will finish with double digits in both categories with relative ease.

India's average bottomed out at .208 on May 12. Since then, India has added 53 points to his average. While the .319 BABIP may seem a little high, that's not far removed from his minor league numbers. The 12.4% walk rate, which is in the 82md percentile in the majors, is actually well below what he did in the minors. All of his metrics and surface stats seem sustainable when measured against his collegiate and minor league numbers.

There's a reason why India was the fifth pick in the 2018 draft. He is having a solid rookie campaign. The fact that he rebounded from such a severe slump in the middle of the season is a testament to how much skill he has. India should help you with a handful of homers and steals with a decent average and good runs scored potential sitting atop a potent Cincinnati offense.
