BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues
OWNED IN: 52% of Fleaflicker Leagues
ANALYSIS: As much as I'm hoping he fizzles out so that Javier Baez gets his job, Jorge Soler is the left fielder at the moment. Soler is batting .219 at the moment, but he's coming off a stretch where he scored a run in six straight games. He also homered twice and drove in four runs over that stretch. He hasn't been outstanding, but he's doing enough to keep his job for now.
One thing to watch with Soler is his K rate. Last year Soler struck out a whopping 30% of the time. This year he's only whiffing at a 17.8% clip, but that's not great. The reality is that Baez could be an option for Joe Maddon so if Soler doesn't play well he is replaceable. On the other hand there is upside here as Soler has demonstrated some power, and he hits in a very potent lineup.
