New England Patriots’ wide receiver Julian Edelman can’t help but find the end-zone. Last night, Edelman turned in yet another stellar performance catching 6-of-10 targets for 50 receiving yards and a touchdown in the Patriots’ redemptive win over the Indianapolis Colts.
Though the Colts were clearly outmatched by the defending Super Bowl champions, Sunday night’s game carried with it an added level of drama, due to this offseason’s Deflategate scandal.
Fortunately, for fantasy owners, Edelman was able to get beyond the game’s hype and turn in some respectable numbers, in spite of a nagging finger injury which had him struggling with his targets in the second half, even dropping a pass that was pick-sixed.
While nothing major, fantasy owners should pay special close attention to Edelman’s finger dilemma before next week’s fixture against the New York Jets, seeing as how he was completely shut down by Colts cornerback Vontae Davis in the second half.
