BALLER MOVE: Target Around ~60 Overall
CURRENT ADP: ~76
ANALYSIS: The last time I wrote about Julian Edelman, more than a month ago when New England was still penciling QB Jarrett Stidham as its starter, it made sense to be at least a little bit worried about Edelman's upside entering 2020. Tom Brady was no longer leading the Patriots, which is to say the Patriots have lost the GOAT at the QB position. That, no matter how you look at it, could only make things worse for the team's receiving corps. Or can it? After signing Cam Newton, not so much. If Newton can stay healthy, things won't change that much for the bad in New England. More than that, Edelman's ability alone is more than great. In the last two seasons, Edelman has averaged 9.4 targets per game in the 28 matches he's been active, catching an average of 6.2 of those 9.4 targets (65.9%).
Edelman was the clear no. 1 WR of the Pats those two years, and nothing will change that in 2020. New England has brought no new threats to Edelman, will feature a seemingly rejuvenated Cam at the QB position, and Edelman is the safest option to throw the ball to of all assets available in this offense. You can almost count the times Edelman's fallen below five receptions in the last 28 games. He's a virtual lock to get his 5 PPG only by catching passes alone in PPR leagues.
PFF projects Edelman to 185+ PPR in 2020 thanks to 72 receptions, 827 yards, and 4 TDs. If I'm honest, I'd say those are tamed predictions considering he reached all of 1,117 yards on 100 receptions last year including 6 scores. Even with that, though, Edelman is getting off the board as the WR32 these days while projecting to finish 2020 as the 90th-best player league-wide in PPR leagues. He's the fourth-cheapest no. 1 option (judging by projected target share; 23%) at the position, one of only four WRs with an ADP below 75 projected to get targeted more than 110 times, and one of only 28 WRs expected to get at least 23% of his team's targets.

BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED: 1% of Leagues ANALYSIS: As a 2017 fifth-round pick by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers out of Boise State, it was a very slow start to the professional career of running back Jeremy McNichols, taking just two carries for four yards with no targets in the passing game...
