BALLER MOVE: Add Immediately
ANALYSIS: With a name sounding like a summer camp or amusement park, Lake has been flat-out raking since making his debut last week. The young third baseman has batted .484 while recording four multi-hit games in his first 7 major-league games. A slight regression is inevitable, but an impressive strikeout rate of 16.1% supports a high probability of "staying power". Alfonso Soriano has officially been shipped to the Yankees, which means Lake will receive everyday at-bats going forward. Batting atop the Cubs' lineup, he should at least be a reliable source of runs and steals, as evidenced his minor-league numbers: 79 R and 26 SB per 500 AB. Lake probably won't continue playing like an elite option, but with third base being such a weak position this year, he should be owned in all formats.
