BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 23% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Heading into the 2019 season, one of my favorite rookie running backs outside of the “big three” was and still is, Justice Hill. He is quick and elusive. He’s got great hands and possesses that home run type of ability where he’s a threat to score anytime he touches the ball. Landing in Baltimore is pretty appealing based on the direction that offense is headed. While he is somewhat buried on the depth chart behind Mark Ingram and Gus Edwards, we saw what he’s capable of during the pre-season.
The touches aren't favoring Hill just yet, which is why he is still lightly owned. Ingram saw 14 and 13 carries the first two weeks respectively, while Edwards saw 17 carries in Week 1 and just three in Week 2. Hill, on the other hand, has just eight total carries and two targets over the first two games. This hasn’t been great usage, but could partly be due to just how good Jackson has been connecting with his receivers, Marquise Brown in particular.
While this may be more of a stash at this time, Hill is someone who is worth grabbing, especially in deeper leagues. I’m confident that with time the Ravens will begin to utilize his skill set more, and the receiving upside is great as well. Not to mention the clear upside that would come if anything happened to Ingram or Edwards.
