BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues
ANALYSIS: “Drop a pebble in the water: just a splash, and it is gone; But there's half-a-hundred ripples.” The recent Ray Rice situation was quite the pebble. However, Rice is gone and what we have now is the ripples left, one of them being Justin Forsett. Now that Bernard Pierce’s spot as the Raven’s starting Running Back is permanent, that leaves Forsett has the de facto backup with Rice long gone from Baltimore. After his great 14.40 point Week 1, Forsett came back to Earth in week 2. He ran the ball 8 times for 56 yards while also catching 4 passes for an additional 16 yards, equaling a modest 7.20 points in standard leagues and a decent 11.2 in PPR.
While Forsett needs to be owned as a handcuff to Pierce by Pierce owners, and because his pass catching abilities make him a nice PPR FLEX bye week fill-in, he should get enough weekly touches to be worth adding in all leagues regardless of if you own Pierce. However, considering how Pierce looked in Week 2, he should probably get comfy on your bench for most teams. In deeper leagues, he’s worth a start in flex plays until he proves unworthy, which hasn’t happened yet.
