BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues
ANALYSIS: Justin Morneau is off to a torrid start in 2014, hitting .344 as of 4/22. Calling him a waiver wire pickup is a bit of a stretch, given his current ownership numbers, but regardless if he's still available on your league waiver wire add him asap. Unlike most Rockie hitters, Morneau is doing this both at Coors Field (.354 Avg) as well as away (.324). With 4 HR and 15 RBI already, shades of Morneau’s great years in Minnesota seem somewhat plausible. Don’t expect him to hit 30 HR and drive in 100, but 20 and 80 is definitely reachable with upside for more. He is currently owned in only 81.2 and 65 percent of ESPN and Yahoo leagues respectively. For a 1B with some power and a great average, those ownership numbers are too low. He is currently 4th among all 1B in average and 6th in RBI. Get him now if he is still available, and help out your team BA while taking all the peripheral numbers as bonuses.
