ANALYSIS: Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Keelan Cole had another average game in Week 11 against the Colts, receiving four passes (on five targets) for 41 yards and finishing the day with 8.1 fantasy points. Considering Cole’s role both in Jacksonville and in fantasy leagues (a flex at best), that is not a bad performance by any means in a deep league. It also makes Cole ba reasonable player to target as a waiver addition, especially when considering the schedule the Jaguars have ahead.

Dede Westbrook was back from injury in Week 11, but that didn’t take targets from the rest of Jacksonville’s receiving corps as all of D.J. Chark, Chris Conley, and Keelan Cole finished with at least four, same as Westbrook. Cole himself finished the day with the third-highest receiving yardage at 41, also surpassing Westbrook (32 yards). Although the most reasonable plan for the remaining of the season would be to slot Westbrook at the WR3 position and fade Cole, the former has been losing snaps and importance progressively and is at the same level of Cole in the pecking order right now.

This season, Cole has been used so little (16 targets in 10 games) that his raw numbers are quite low (13 receptions, 154 yards, two touchdowns). Even with that, his efficiency has been mind-blowing and he’s clearly out-performing Westbrook on a per-target basis, which makes his addition appealing in deep leagues. The next two games of Jacksonville are against the Titans and Buccaneers, which rank 17th and 32nd against WRs. That calls for getting Cole through the waiver wire if you’re short of receivers and potentially stream him at the flex position the next couple of weeks (Cole last three games yielded 9.2, 13, and 8.1 fantasy points).
