Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (PG/SG, WAS): Week 9 Waiver Wire Pickups

BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues

ROSTERED IN: 51% of leagues

ANALYSIS:  Our favorite shooting forward with guard-only eligibility, that's KCP for you. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, with Bradley Beal and Spencer Dinwiddie manning the Wizards backcourt, was either going to hit the pine nightly or downsize Washington's lineup mightily starting on the wing. And it turned out the latter was the case. KCP has yet to miss on starting a game for the Wiz and it's been 26 and counting for him already through Wednesday.

And it is not that KCP is playing low minutes or getting low usage rate percentages due to that starting role, far from it. KCP is logging a healthy 29 MPG and 9 FGA per game this year, and he's at an even higher 28 MPG and 11 FGA a day in the past couple of weeks. His usage rate in that eight-game span has gone all the way up to an above-average 22.1% mark compared to his prior of just 15.5% since the start of the season to Nov. 24.

Makes sense to find KCP playing more and getting more chances, though. He's been fantastic on the three-point department (2.4 3PM per game in the last two weeks, 4-2-3 in the last three games he's played), is averaging almost 15 PPG, and is contributing low-but-nice numbers in the rebounds (3.2 RPG), assists (2.3 APG), and most interestingly steals (1 SPG) since Nov. 26 (included). The turnovers are kinda ugly, though, while he's hitting virtually every freebie he's attempting and shooting 49.5% from the floor on the past eight matches.

Fantasy Basketball Deeper-League Waiver Wire Adds for Week 24: Isaac Okoro, Kris Dunn, Josh Richardson, Corey Kispert, Delon Wright

The deeper a fantasy basketball league, the harder it is to hit a winner with your last few picks. It is also harder to find decent help from the waiver wire if your late-round picks don't do you justice. If you picked up a few stinkers, don't lose hope just yet. I will try to... Read More

Onyeka Okongwu (SF/PF, ATL): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups

BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 16% of leagues ANALYSIS: The Hawks are currently the 10th seed in the East but are also tied for 8th and 9th with Brooklyn and Charlotte respectively. There's even a chance (albeit small) that Atlanta could rise as high as to reach the 7th seed if... Read More

Immanuel Quickley (PG, NYK): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups

BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 48% of leagues ANALYSIS: If we use common basketball sense, then the New York Knicks and Coach Thibs should try and see what the young guys such as Immanuel Quickley have in them and what they can provide the franchise with ROS, as the NYK are... Deni Avdija (SG/SF, WAS): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups

BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 37% of leagues ANALYSIS: One would reasonably think that a player seeing a playing-time boost such as that of Deni Avdija's this month would make said player drop his efficiency numbers. Well, not the case for the Wiz Wing by the looks of it. Avdija has... Read More

Nicolas Claxton (PF/C, BRK): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups

BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 24% of leagues ANALYSIS: The Nets can finally rest assured they'll make the play-in portion of the season. Not quite what you expected when the season got rolling back in October, but at least more than what the Lakers would have accomplished a week from now.... Read More
