BALLER MOVE: Target Around ~100 Overall
CURRENT ADP: ~115
ANALYSIS: The Tampa rookie tested positive for COVID-19 back in late July and that clearly impacted his ADP during the past few days. The bump down reached its peak (valley?) the day he was placed on the Reserve List. That shouldn't be an issue for him once the season starts if we assume there will be no problems long-term with catching the illness. Playing for Vanderbilt in his senior season last year the rusher racked up 1,028 yards on the ground on 198 carries including 9 TDs, and he was also able to put on 270 receiving yards hauling in 28 receptions for a score.
One thing a little bit worrying about Vaughn and his situation in Tampa, though, is the fact that the Bucs recently signed veteran-RB LeSean McCoy. He will be playing for the Bucs on a one-year deal (signed July 30) and his signing also impacted Vaughn's ADP, which suffered another bump down around the day the deal was announced. Now, that is good news for Vaughn's truthers, as his stock has plummeted to due to different events and that has raised his potential value.
Vaughn is a rookie entering 2020 and he will be facing stiff competition for opportunities having to battle two established rushers such as Ronald Jones II and now LeSean McCoy too. Even with that, PFF projects him to start the year as Tampa's RB1, and he would provide an average ROI if that role holds reaching 143+PPR over the season. If his ADP keeps going down then he will become a real steal in later rounds, currently getting drafted as the RB42 and projecting to finish 2020... as the RB38. Don't overpay a lot for him, but definitely target the rookie around the 9th/10th round.
