BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 31% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Kevin Kiermaier is only slashing .222/.287/.380 over 358 plate appearances this season, but he has turned it on as of late. After posting a .276/.338/.450 slash line last season, he has a .255/.310/.457 slash line in the second half, including four steals and 21 extra base hits. Since the beginning of September, Kiermaier has a .352/.410/.685 slash line with nine extra base hits and 21 R+BI.
Obviously, a lot of the interest in Kiermaier stems from his scorching start to September, even though he is hitless in each of the last two games. He has six multi-hit games this month, but has not posted a multi-hit game since September. He has scored a run in two of the last three games, but has only scored four runs in his last eight games. Kiermaier has a 6.6% walk rate and stole a base on September 16, making an impact from the bottom of the lineup.
A .400 BABIP will not stand up (even with a 39.5% hard hit ball rate), but Kiermaier's track record shows that his poor start to 2018 is in the past. He is a good addition in deeper leagues and should be plugged into lineups while he is hitting this well.
