ANALYSIS:
The inevitable injury bug has struck Kiermaier, who hasn’t been able to stay healthy since his rookie year. His glove is a mainstay when healthy, so you can expect him to be there on a nightly basis. Remember, they signed him for $55M big ones just two years ago to man a top defensive center-field. His bat hasn’t been bad when in there, accounting for 11 home runs and 17 SB in just 92 games.
If you’re looking for a gripe, he’s unstable and ready to go on the IL at any point. He doesn’t have much of an offensive game, but he steals bases and has power, which are two very valuable things in today’s fantasy world. He’s also been hitting in the bottom of the order, but that can change quickly with just a couple solid games at the plate. If you’re in need of some speed in the outfield, Kevin Kiermaier will be a great second-half add if he can remain healthy.
