ANALYSIS: The minute we stopped thinking about Love as a washed-up vet with slim-to-no-chances of helping Cleveland in finding him a new home, the minute he started to deliver good performances. Of course, Love is already on the downside of his career. He's playing a low 20 MPG for the Cavs this year, but with his low role in the squad and sitting behind the likes of younger and better Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley it is not that we can ask him for more.
Love has yet to start a game this year. He missed a couple of weeks at the start of November, but other than that he's been a steady contributor for the Cavs. His per-minute efficiency and fantasy averages are insanely great: Love is putting up 1.22 FP/min on the year, and only three times has he fallen below the league average 0.90 mark. In fact, since the start of December and barring a stinker against Utah on Dec. 5 (0.24 FP/min), he is averaging a ridiculous 1.59 FP/min (even factoring that Jazz game in he'd still be up at 1.36, mind you).
Love is always going to score points (11.3 PPG on the year, 13.7 this month), hit triples (13 consecutive games with 1+ 3PM and an actual average of 2.5 3PM per game), and contribute a lot of rebounds (7.2 RPG on the year, 10+ in five games already) for his playing time. The turnovers are not huge but still kinda high (1.3 TOPG in the past six games), but the usage rate has skyrocketed of late to a 26.2% in December while the freebies keep falling at a nonsensical 97.4% clip to go with a 41%+ from the field.

Fantasy Basketball Deeper-League Waiver Wire Adds for Week 24: Isaac Okoro, Kris Dunn, Josh Richardson, Corey Kispert, Delon Wright
The deeper a fantasy basketball league, the harder it is to hit a winner with your last few picks. It is also harder to find decent help from the waiver wire if your late-round picks don't do you justice. If you picked up a few stinkers, don't lose hope just yet. I will try to […]
Onyeka Okongwu (SF/PF, ATL): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 16% of leagues ANALYSIS: The Hawks are currently the 10th seed in the East but are also tied for 8th and 9th with Brooklyn and Charlotte respectively. There's even a chance (albeit small) that Atlanta could rise as high as to reach the 7th seed if […]
Immanuel Quickley (PG, NYK): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 48% of leagues ANALYSIS: If we use common basketball sense, then the New York Knicks and Coach Thibs should try and see what the young guys such as Immanuel Quickley have in them and what they can provide the franchise with ROS, as the NYK are […]
Deni Avdija (SG/SF, WAS): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 37% of leagues ANALYSIS: One would reasonably think that a player seeing a playing-time boost such as that of Deni Avdija's this month would make said player drop his efficiency numbers. Well, not the case for the Wiz Wing by the looks of it. Avdija has […]
Nicolas Claxton (PF/C, BRK): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 24% of leagues ANALYSIS: The Nets can finally rest assured they'll make the play-in portion of the season. Not quite what you expected when the season got rolling back in October, but at least more than what the Lakers would have accomplished a week from now. […]
