BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 37% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Another week, another set of starts for the Warriors center given the inexistent depth of the team at the big-man position. Seriously. With Draymond Green expected to miss three or four more weeks and James Wiseman not even on the radar, it's Juan Toscano Anderson taking on backup-center duties for GSW these days. Just imagine. Nothing bad can come from that, at least when it comes to rostering Looney in your fantasy squad.
Looney isn't mindblowing because 1) he doesn't play large minutes (25 MPG in the past month and 26 in the past couple of weeks) and 2) he's part of a loaded unit that leaves him below a 15% usage rate more often than not. That said, Looney is an absolute per-minute stud with an average of 1.06 FP/min in his last 16 games (league average at just 0.9). Looney's recent run of performances has been one of the best of his year with four games straight for the big man hitting either double-digit points or/and rebounds. The lines: 6-15, 7-14, 12-12, and 10-7 last Friday against the Kings.
Since the game against Dallas on Jan. 25 in which Looney put up a weird 0-9-2 shooting zero times, Looney has averaged a nice 8-11-1-1 line in the next five games played through Friday. He's been good to hoist around 6 FGA hitting 59% of them, has visited the line a total 13 times, and although he's committed more turnovers than ever in that short span he's been sublime on the boards and provided some steals to make up for that careless offensive game. Not a lot of clear-cut role players in the NBA so locked into a starting position as Looney is in GSW. Make sure to add him in deeper formats and even some shallower ones given the run and the rebounds/steals for a big man.

Fantasy Basketball Deeper-League Waiver Wire Adds for Week 24: Isaac Okoro, Kris Dunn, Josh Richardson, Corey Kispert, Delon Wright
The deeper a fantasy basketball league, the harder it is to hit a winner with your last few picks. It is also harder to find decent help from the waiver wire if your late-round picks don't do you justice. If you picked up a few stinkers, don't lose hope just yet. I will try to […]
Onyeka Okongwu (SF/PF, ATL): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 16% of leagues ANALYSIS: The Hawks are currently the 10th seed in the East but are also tied for 8th and 9th with Brooklyn and Charlotte respectively. There's even a chance (albeit small) that Atlanta could rise as high as to reach the 7th seed if […]
Immanuel Quickley (PG, NYK): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 48% of leagues ANALYSIS: If we use common basketball sense, then the New York Knicks and Coach Thibs should try and see what the young guys such as Immanuel Quickley have in them and what they can provide the franchise with ROS, as the NYK are […]
Deni Avdija (SG/SF, WAS): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 37% of leagues ANALYSIS: One would reasonably think that a player seeing a playing-time boost such as that of Deni Avdija's this month would make said player drop his efficiency numbers. Well, not the case for the Wiz Wing by the looks of it. Avdija has […]
Nicolas Claxton (PF/C, BRK): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 24% of leagues ANALYSIS: The Nets can finally rest assured they'll make the play-in portion of the season. Not quite what you expected when the season got rolling back in October, but at least more than what the Lakers would have accomplished a week from now. […]
