ANALYSIS: With all of the recent news and buzz surrounding the Panthers star quarterback Cam Newton, there has been some cause for concern that is hard to ignore. After heading into the season with questions regarding his health, we've seen Newton sidelined with a foot injury in Week 3 and it's been announced that he'll miss Week 4 as well. The second-year quarterback Kyle Allen will get his second start in Houston in Week 4.
Allen stepped up in Week 3 and really showed that the Panthers offense could run just fine without Newton. Allen lit up the Cardinals throwing 26 times, completing 19 passes, totaling 261 yards through the air, and four touchdowns. Not only did he put up great fantasy numbers, but he looked good and even got the Panthers a nice road win. If you're looking for a streaming option in deeper leagues, Allen is someone you can consider. If you're in Superflex or 2QB leagues, there's a good chance he is already owned and rightfully so. Allen has shown he can be a serviceable option and is worth a look in deeper leagues.
