BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 10% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Kyle Tucker is one of the most eagerly anticipated outfielders in all of baseball, which feels a bit unfair coming within an organization with an extremely recent World Series title. The consensus top-15 prospect did not have a nice go at it during his first major league stint in 2018, going for zero home runs, a stolen base, and a .439 OPS in 64 AB. Even with that poor initial MLB showing, there is still a cornucopia of reasons to enlist Tucker in your efforts moving forward.
It might take another injury and/or a bold decision or two to get him in the majors in the foreseeable future, but look out below when he does. He has strung together two-straight Herculean campaigns at Triple-A with slashes of .332/.400/.590 and .259/.338/.585 with 40 combined bombs and 32 combined swiped bags in 600 cumulative AB. Of those totals, 16 homers and 12 steals came in a mere 193 AB in 2019 for Triple-A Round Rock. Few elite prospects have made greater strides in their game than Tucker has since his arrival in professional baseball, and he continues to add a potent power/speed pedigree to his ability to reach base and hit for contact (in balance with his slightly high strikeout rate). There may be no clear path for Tucker to immediately reach the major leagues and hit "Sicko Mode" in Astroworld, but if the stars align, its a move you want to be a part of.
