Latavius Murray (RB, MIN) - Week 6 Waiver Wire Pickups

BALLER MOVE: Add in 12-Team Leagues

OWNED IN: 38% of Leagues

ANALYSIS: Minnesota Vikings running back Latavius Murray should likely see an uptick in usage with Dalvin Cook out, making him a fantasy waiver wire target. Cook is nursing a hamstring problem and Murray will likely be the main target in the Minnesota backfield if Cook misses more time.

The issue with anyone considering Murray, though, is that, even as the main back on Sunday against the Eagles, he only had 11 carries for 42 yards. He added two catches for 14 yards, and has multiple catches in each of the last three games, but his 3.5 yards per carry this season are the worst of his career. While he does not have a touchdown this season, remember that Murray scored 20 times over the last two seasons.

The Cardinals, the Week 6 opponent for Minnesota, allow the most points to fantasy RB. That alone puts Murray on the FLEX radar in more shallow leagues and as a low-end RB2 in deeper ones. Owners need to be wary of his potentially low usage, Kirk Cousins threw 37 times against the Eagles on Sunday, but Murray is a good bet to score against the lowly Cards.
