Hey everyone, good morning/afternoon, and welcome to RotoBaller's coverage of League of Legends DFS for both FanDuel and DraftKings. Be on the lookout for coverage of the LPL, LCK, and LEC as well as we have some great analysts covering all LoL leagues for the Summer Split. Today, I'll be focusing on the 5-game LCS slate starting at 6 P.M. EST.
My name is Nathan Van Hare and I'll be covering LCS content for the summer split here on RotoBaller! I'm new to RotoBaller but I'm not new to the esports DFS area. I've been playing all the esports DFS I can get my hands ever since April of 2020 and hardly missed a day. As someone who didn't know much about esports 2 years ago, It has really surprised me to see how passionate and dedicated I've become about something I knew next to nothing about just two years ago.
Today I'll be bringing you my League of Legends advice and analysis for the five-game LCS slate that locks on Friday, June 18th, at 6:00 PM. Thanks for reading, you can find me on Twitter @nvanhareDFS for more DFS related content!

C9 vs. EG
Before we start talking about why C9 is a great play on this slate, let's touch on why Evil Geniuses is a team I find it hard to roster on a weekly basis. Jiizuke has shown some of the worst MID play that I've seen in a while this split. He's found ways to die in the most innocent of positions and honestly his ability to "int" this hard is truly impressive. That being said, Jiizuke coupled with Cloud9 always being a full leg up on the rest of the LCS, C9 looks really good here. C9 normally is the most expensive at every positional slot, and this Friday we are getting a discount on them in multiple spots. C9 makes for a near-must in cash and a really nice GPP play given their high kill participation rates and their overall high floor and ceiling for team stack scores. K1ng has averaged 6.4Kills, 1.7 deaths, 7.8 assists per win and Blaber has 4.1kills, 1.7 deaths, 8.8 assists. Perkz also has numbers close to these and it's no surprise people love rostering this team.
Top C9 Plays: Perkz, K1ng, Blaber
TSM vs. Immortals
Immortals are a team that had a sick run in the spring split and won a lot of people over with their play style. That being said, I think that this split they're performing way above expected and we should expect to see them return to their version of Earth soon. They do still have some talent, but up against the likes of PowerOfEvil, they pale in comparison. TSM likely takes this one quickly and efficiently. There's also more of a case to not play IMT as they're likely going to be the highest owned underdog. TSM still looks like a more mild stack in the grand scheme of things though. Their kill participation is on the lower end of the spectrum excluding PowerofEvil so their overall scoring struggles.
Top TSM Plays: PowerOfEvil, TSM

FlyQuest vs. Team Liquid
FlyQuest has shown life this split. They've been playing well and have shown that they too have upside in all matches. While Liquid is a very talented team, it's a bo1 so anything can happen. Taking FlyQuest vs. Liquid provides your lineup with a rarely rostered underdog stack as well as gives your team a boost in output as they are generally very involved with kill participation in wins. Palafox is a priority in FLY stacks as over the last year with the team he's averaged 5.6 Kills per win with 7.3 assists and only 1.4 deaths. This is a better per-win stat line than every MID in the league except for Perkz. In TL lineups there's have no standout priority except for their team slot. TL makes for a good small stack utilizing the team slot as they like to focus on objectives and wear their opponents down.
Top TL Plays: TL, Jenkins
Top FlyQuest Plays: Palafox, Licorice
Dignitas vs. Golden Guardians
During Spring the world was introduced to the new Dignitas. This Dignitas loves team fighting, loves up-tempo game environments, and loves to entertain. DIG is one of those teams where everyone is involved and anyone can carry the team in any given game. Neo is their ADC and main piece and is averaging 5.4 Kills, 1.2 Deaths, and 8.4 Assists per win. These numbers put him near the top of the list of ADCS by performance behind only K1ng. Yusui at MID is 4.4K/0.83D/6.3A in wins over the last year and similarly to Neo can be the one to carry the team at any point. Admittedly Dignitas has become a DFS fan's favorite with their results but even with the boosted ownership, they make for a great cash and GPP play. GG is another high pace in-win kind of team and can also be considered. The main reason I'm even thinking about them is what I perceive to be ownership being significantly less than it should be. They team-fight well in wins and have an extremely high ceiling. They're definitely not a team to lock into every lineup, but they should definitely be considered.
Top DIG Plays: Neo, FakeGod
Top GG Plays: Iconic, Chime, Solo
100T vs. CLG
Last but not least we have 100 Thieves and CounterLogic Gaming. Over the last few weeks, there have been rumors of fighting and disagreements behind the scenes at CLG. CLG already looked shaky to begin the split and this just adds to the long list of reasons that they shouldn't be anyone's priority. Abbedagge at MID is a big improvement to 100T's roster and adds another lane of talent to their already bolstered squad. Closer and Abbedagge are the spots to focus on as they compare very well against players at the same positions. Abbedagge has had what some would consider a slow start in the LCS but as time goes on it's very possible he puts up noteworthy numbers. This game vs CLG is as good a time as ever to begin.
Top 100T plays: Abbedagge, Closer
Summary
- C9 should be a priority in most formats, they have insane per-win numbers and generally have very good DFS scores.
- FlyQuest is my favorite option for a lower-owned underdog stack followed closely by Golden Guardians. Both have high ceilings and should be under-utilized.
- TSM is not a player stack I'm looking to use in a game where it should be open and shut, this type of game foreshadows low scoring all around from their players.
- I'm not one to make predictions but I'm going to have a fun 5 game parlay each week where I post my picks here in the summary. This week I'm going with C9, TSM, FlyQuest, Dignitas, 100T. Good luck to all that are playing this weekend!
