ANALYSIS: One of the top prospects in baseball, Logan Gilbert made his debut on Thursday night. While he only completed four innings and allowed four runs, there was plenty to like about his performance. He struck out five batters without issuing a walk, generating 10 whiffs and throwing 52 of his 71 pitches for strikes. The 24-year-old rose quickly through the minor leagues with a 2.13 ERA and 165 strikeouts in 135 innings.
Gilbert's next scheduled start will come Wednesday at home against the light-hitting Tigers. He's still available in roughly half of all leagues, and is worth an add in any format.
