BALLER MOVE: Continue Scouting, Add Only in AL-Only Leagues
ANALYSIS: Logan Morrison showed a ton of promise as a 23-year-old in 2011, but has not quite lived up to the hype since, with 23 of his 46 career home runs coming in that 2011 campaign with the Marlins. The .242/.305/.411 triple slash line he is currently sporting in his first year with the Mariners is even lower than his career average in all three categories, which is not a good sign. Although is is hitting a little better over the past 2 weeks, with a .326 AVG, 3 HR, 12 RBI and 8 Runs, it's tough to trust him as a consistent option. He does little from a fantasy standpoint on a regular basis, and seeing as he is an average first baseman, he is likely to see even less at-bats once Justin Smoak returns from his quad injury. He has still some power, but at a deep position, there are likely much better options. Leave Morrison alone for now until he shows more consistency, except for maybe deep AL-Only leagues that call for a corner infield spot.
