BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues
Owned in 6% of Fleaflicker Leagues
ANALYSIS: With the news that Bernard Pierce would miss today's game with an injury, Justin Forsett and Lorenzo Taliaferro were thrust into the lead running back roles for the Ravens. Some saavy owners immediately grabbed Taliaferro off the waiver wire before today's game, if they had roster space, but most didn't as Taliaferro is only 6% owned currently. Taliaferro, the talented rookie running back, stole the spotlight and was the star running back for Baltimore. After racking up 91 rushing yards and a touchdown on 18 attempts today, Taliaferro now becomes the latest add to our waiver wire sleepers list.
His running was very impressive all day, better than anything we have seen out of Pierce or Forsett this year. He looked like a power running back able to pickup tough yardage, but also quick and explosive with any opening that was given to him to gain extra yards. It's unclear how long Pierce will be out for, but he's not expected to miss too much more time, which should make this an interesting and crowded backfield for fantasy football purposes. It's possible that the coaches roll with Taliaferro going forward as the lead back, but it's certainly not guaranteed. Either way, Taliaferro should be grabbed off the waiver wire everywhere, in preparation for Week 4. He has clearly shown that he has what it takes to succeed in the NFL and for fantasy football owners. He may not carry the load next week, but his talent and upside make him a must-add in all leagues, especially if you're hurting at running back.
