Two game slates return for a few days, and this one is going to be pretty chalky. I am going to try to have some fun with it anyway, why not, right?
I'll provide my League of Legends advice, analysis, and picks, for this LPL slate on DraftKings and FanDuel that locks at 5:00 AM on Monday, August 3rd, 2020. Make sure you follow me on Twitter @Mr_Malmanger as I often post starting lineups when I see them and other useful info for the slate.

5:00 AM: FunPlus Phoenix (-1600) vs. Dominus
Well lads we are back on two-game slates, and one of those two has a heavy favorite. Days like today it can be challenging to make my look at the slate more than just a few tweets. We're going to have to start with trying to find a way for DMO to beat FPX. YIKES!
Let's begin with FPX, and they have been struggling this summer. After a very rough patch versus VG, TES, RW, and JDG, they have started to right the ship, albeit versus some less than stellar competition. Wins over OMG, EDG, LGD don't inspire a lot of confidence, especially with them needing three games to dispatch LGD and EDG. The key matchup will be in the jungle with Tian against Xiaopeng. If FPX declined to ban Nidalee away from Xiaopeng, then I think there's a chance for DMO. I played some DMO versus RNG the other night, and they scored well without making it to a third game. FPX gives up 19 kills in their losses, and I think that taking a one-off play of either Chelizi or Xiaopeng might be the best play of a few on DMO. Dominus is not good, and FPX is having trouble finding the same level of coordination that they had last season, but still, I think this matchup goes over to the former champs. The stats are closer than you would think, but they are all in favor of FPX. Early, middle, late-game - all aspects should fall on their side. DMO doesn't have enough proactive plays to offset what FPX is looking to do, but I think they might steal a game here, and that could be enough to make a one-off viable.
Top FPX Plays:
- Doinb - MID
- Tian - JNG
- Lwx - ADC
- Gimgoon - TOP

7:00 AM: Bilibili Gaming vs. LGD (-315)
BLG has owned this matchup over the last two years, and they lead 3-0 in series without dropping a single game. This new-look squad for LGD is much improved, and they are looking to hold their playoff spot. BLG, having lost to EDG, is now on the outside looking in. The loss of playoffs takes a little of BLG's motivation away, and adds a bit to that of LGD. LGD currently sits seventh, and with two very winnable games remaining, they can improve that position. WE, SNG, and even the mighty V5 are all within striking distance, especially when you look at those teams remaining schedule.
Outside of the motivation factor looking at the stats see that since the return of Meteor BLG has been much better in the early game. They are leading LGD in first blood, first turret, and rift herald percentage. Dragons and barons go over to the side of LGD. The team's playstyles are similar, and once I looked closer at the players' stats since Meteor's return, I suddenly like BLG a bit better. I still feel like this goes over to the side of LGD on motivation alone.
Top LGD Plays:
- Peanut - JNG
- Xiye - MID
- LGD Team slot
Top BLG Plays:
- Meteor - JNG
- Fofo - MID
- Xinmo - SUP
- Kingen - TOP (sub risk, but if you're going to play BLG why the heck not right)
Summary
- TLDR - FPX and LGD win, but it's a two-game slate, and as I've mentioned previously, DMO has the raw upside if they can pull the upset. While I don't like them to win, I think punting one of their players could make sense.
- The LGD/BLG matchup will be the slower of the two, and I'd stick to smaller stacks and the team slot from that one. If you're trying to get tricky with the chalk, take your bigger stacks from this match or make one of these players your captain. We've talked about it before, and it is suboptimal, but will be much lower owned.

Another profitable night after a few break even or off nights due to trying to get too cute with lineup construction. @RotoBaller free articles remain ? as they have been. @mr_malmanger @ThunderDanDFS @grownfool pic.twitter.com/l015HO49GX
