BALLER MOVE: Add in Deep Leagues
ANALYSIS: Right off the bat (no pun intended) I'll say Lucas Duda intrigues me. He has moderate power and can hit the ball as hard as any major leaguer, which we have known for a while. Duda has proven to be serviceable and for actual Met fans he has been pretty clutch too. On the year his numbers are solid, .252 BA, .348 OBP, and a .473 SLG. He has 12 homers and 42 RBIs in just 246 ABs, which puts him on pace for 30/100 with a full season of at bats. The catch is Duda can't hit, and often sits against LHP. He mashes righties with the best of them, which makes him suitable for leagues where you can adjust your lineup daily, or weekly leagues when the matchups are right. With the depth there is at first base this season, I can't think of any reason to own Duda if you need to start him every day. Because of his platoon splits, there is little overall consistency to his hitting, but he had a very solid June and if you have a deep bench he's a great righty-masher to stash there.
