ANALYSIS: Valbuena is nursing a sprained big toe, but that doesn’t appear to be negatively impacting him at the plate. June was actually his best month of the year, as he compiled an .883 OPS with nine homers and 32 R+RBI. Valbuena continues to be a huge BA drain, although he’s finally pushed his mark above the Mendoza line. Owners in need of power aren’t going to do any better on the wire, though. He’s also eligible at second base.
