Luke Kennard (SG/SF, LAC): Week 10 Waiver Wire Pickups

ANALYSIS: Right when we were starting to have serious doubts about Luke Kennard's future in this League, he went on and put on some consecutive bangers. Sure thing, he was helped by Paul George's injured elbow and subsequent missed time, of course, but in the past two weeks of games Kennard has been a fantastic starting-unit replacement and that should help him retain a bulkier role even when PG13 gets back and Luke goes back to riding the pine.

Kennard has started four of the Clips past five games getting back to Dec. 6 (included). He's played eight games this month averaging 31 MPG. Healthy minutes, reasonable 18.1% usage rate, limited turnovers (1 TOV per game)... and impressive shooting from the guard/wing so far this month. Kennard has hit double-digit points in all eight games taking place in December. He's averaging a season-high 16.1 PPG in that span, and it's the first time he's scored 10+ points in more than two consecutive games.

While the assists/steals/blocks cats are as low as they've been all season (2 APG, 0.5 SPG, zero BPG), the truth is that Kennard is here just to give you buckets on good volume (11.2 FGA), fantastic percentages (perfect 9-for-9 from the free-throw line; 50%+ from the field this month), and triples in bunches (2.7 3PM per game on the year, 3.7 in December) with at least 2+ in every game he's playing these days. Even with George back, consider adding Kennard to your roster even in the slightest of deeper leagues.
