ANALYSIS: Following such a decorated final season of college football, it seems crazy to contemplate Mac Jones transitioning right from Alabama and Nick Saban to New England and Bill Belichick, but it's a transition he's appearing more and more comfortable with. While the rookie started off accurate yet slow-paced and turnover-prone, he has displayed poignant improvement in rolling the complete package together over the past few weeks.
Over the first three games, Jones accumulated just two touchdowns against three interceptions and 737 yards on 67.5% passing. Over the last three games, Jones has taken his play up a notch to the tune of five touchdowns against three picks and 735 yards on 75.8% passing, not to mention the fact that he has taken just three sacks over the past two games after taking an average of 2.5 in the previous four contests. While you don't get points directly from accuracy, it bodes extremely well moving forward when combined with the fact that he's making strides in the touchdown to interception department. With the safety-net production that he is capable of providing at medium-speed and the potential that he offers in the Patriots' expanding offense, Mac Jones is a worthwhile addition in two-QB formats.
