Maikel Franco added three more hits Sunday during his hot streak in his rookie season with the Philadelphia Phillies.
The 22-year-old rookie has been sensational of late with three straight multi-hit games. June has been nothing but great for the third baseman. Franco has 25 hits, 7 HR, 10 RBI and a .362 BA as summer officially begins.
Franco has a 294/.338/.522 with seven home runs and 19 RBI in total for his rookie campaign in 131 at-bats.
He’s one of the top prospects in MLB and he’s been delivering right out of the gate. Franco could be the future face of the Phillies since Chase Utley and Ryan Howard could be on their way out. The Phillies are 24-47 during this rebuilding process.
The Phillies won the game on Sunday against the St. Louis Cardinals in part because of Franco’s offensive production. They’ve only won two games over their last 12.
