The Philadelphia Phillies activated Maikel Franco from the 15-day DL on Thursday.
It is unclear on whether the third baseman will play at all over the last four games of the 2015 season. Franco has been sidelined for six weeks with a non-displaced fracture in his right wrist. The good news is that he was able to make it back at all. It means that the rookie is healthy and ready to roll with his first full MLB season next year.
Franco played in 16 games during the 2014 season and 77 this year. The 23-year-old has a .277 BA, .830 OPS, 13 HR and 48 RBI over 77 games.
If Franco is put in the lineup at all over the next few days, it will be a major signing for fantasy owners competing in their respective finals. There’s a chance that the Phillies slugger isn’t on someone’s DL spot, but rather a free agent in the league. Sign him if he’s there.
