Mark Ingram II (RB, NO) - Fantasy Football Week 10 Waiver Wire Pickups

BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team PPR Leagues

ROSTERED IN: 19% of Leagues

ANALYSIS: Let's make things clear over here. Mark Ingram's spell in Houston: not very bueno. Mark Ingram's come back to New Orleans: fantastic if only because of the good old times! Now, don't get that wrong because Ingram and the Saints are what they are: a player balling for a team with a clear go-to rusher that will suffer more the arrival of Ingram rather than the other way around. In other words: knock Alvin Kamara down a bit in terms of his upside, but don't think Ingram will get molly-destroyed because of his RB2 role next to Kamara.

Ingram had topped 11 PPR points just once in seven games played with Houston this season. He has needed just two to even that mark in New Orleans thanks to this past weekend's outing in which he rushed the rock for 43 yards on 9 carries while adding a fantastic 5-for-5 receptions for 21 yards against the Falcons. We can forget about Ingram eating big time from Kamara's usage and touches--no more 15+ carry days for Ingram now that he's in New Orleans--but Ingram is a pass-catching machine who has gone an absolute perfect 12-for-12 in his past four games getting back to Week 6, so he's a rock-solid option for those in PPR leagues.

Ingram won't get a lot of touches, but he might be snatching some of those here and there from Kamara, and most importantly he might find himself in goal-line situations vulturing scores. Also, if the Saints have chances at the postseason, it'd make sense for them to save some of Kamara's energy for a playoffs run, which would only mean more Ingram is coming. One of the best RB2 out there no matter the format, obviously with limited upside because he plays behind one of the surefire top-tier rushers of the whole NFL.
