Markus Wheaton (WR, PIT) - Fantasy Football Sleepers

BALLER MOVE: Target ~ 13o (Current ADP: 170, WR: 57)

ANALYSIS: After having what was pretty much a red-shirt year in 2013, Markus Wheaton is primed for a breakout in 2014 for the Steelers. With the departure of Emmanuel Sanders, Wheaton was moved up to second on the teams official depth chart, and his preparation and play so far in camp suggest he won't be giving that up. He has been seen on the field working out not only before and after practice but into the evening. He will act as a deep threat in an offense that claims they intend to use more no-huddle this season and we all know about Ben Roethlisberger's ability to extend the play. His competition is Lance Moore and fourth round pick Martavis Bryant so he will get ample opportunity to seal his bid for playing opposite Antonio Brown with an improved pass blocking O-Line.

Granted, the Steelers are generally a run-first team, which is only intensified by the breakout season of teammate Le'Veon Bell last season in his NFL debut. And while this may account for some of fantasy managers' reservations in drafting Wheaton, he's still being grossly undervalued and needs to be looked at as a late round flier lottery ticket in redraft league;  he should be owned in all 10+team keeper leagues as well.
