BALLER MOVE: Continue monitoring

ANALYSIS: For the last two weeks Chicago Bears wide receiver Eddie Royal has been out with a knee injury and Marquess Wilson has started in his place. The good news is that he became the WR2 for the Bears in the interim--the bad news is that he has not delivered any fantasy value. It seems that Jay Cutler may not have chemistry with Wilson.
Last week Alshon Jeffery and Martellus Bennett had 25 targets combined while Wilson had just three. This is not due to opportunity, as Wilson played 85% of the offensive snaps last week. In the past two weeks Wilson has totaled just two catches for 29 yards on six targets, making him not even roster-worthy. It seems likely that Royal will be out this week so Wilson will be starting again. However, Wilson will be facing a St Louis Rams defense that has allowed the lowest percentage of red zone touchdowns and is the fourth-best passing defense overall.
Given the lack of production thus far and the tough defense he will be facing this week, Wilson is a WR5 at best. I'd continue monitoring Wilson and see if there are any additional injuries to the Bears receivers before adding him in any format.
