Marvin Jones (WR, CIN) - 2015 Fantasy Football Sleeper

BALLER MOVE: Target in late rounds as a possible WR3

CURRENT ADP: 170 STD, 144 PPR

ANALYSIS: Foot and ankle injuries cost Marvin Jones the entirety of the 2014 season, making him a difficult player to project heading into 2015. On one hand, the 25-year-old only has two real seasons under his belt and has played a somewhat situational role in both of them. On the other hand, it wasn't too long ago that he looked like a future star at the position. Jones turned 51 receptions into 712 yards and 10 TD in 2013, a breakout that few saw coming, and many thought he was primed to take another step forward before injuries took away 2014. Now in 2015, Jones' production seems up in the air. Either he will resume where he left off over a year ago and become a solid WR2, or fall prey to being the second option in a run heavy offense.

Lean toward the former.

While OC Hue Jackson is known for his run-heavy approach, the Bengals 2015 offense is more powerful than many think. Both Jones and A.J. Green are healthy again, giving Andy Dalton his favorite two weapons back, and Jeremy Hill is primed to ground and pound to another successful season. There will be points in Cincinnati, and if Green can stay healthy Jones stands to benefit hugely from single coverage as defenses shift their attention to Green and Hill.

Also a good sign for the young Jones is the success that Mohamed Sanu had in his role last year. Sanu finished in the top-40 of all fantasy wideouts in 2014, putting up a strong 790 yards and 5 TD despite playing with a hobbled or sidelined Green for a good portion of the year. That bodes well for Jones' production in 2015. Although he is capable of it, the 10 TD Jones put up in 2013 might be a stretch this season, but 800 yards and 6 or 7 TD seems perfectly reasonable, and that line makes Jones an excellent value at his current ADP.
