BALLER MOVE: Add in 10+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 52% of leagues
ANALYSIS: The Charlotte Hornets didn't light any fireworks this past trade deadline, but they did a very solid move in acquiring super-sub Montrez Harrell to bolster the big-men rotation while not losing that much going the other way. Montrezl will go from playing a starting role in Washington to an off-the-pine player in Charlotte, so that means Mason Plumlee will retain his starting gig--and it's been 48 starts for Plumlee on the year already, which is to say every game he's played he's done so starting.
The 26 MPG over the season have stayed pretty much the same all year long, with slight variations here and there. In the past two weeks of play, Plumlee has seen as many as 38 minutes and as little as 22, but those are outliers than anything else with a more realistic average of 27 MPG in that span. Plumlee, the most classic of classic big men, is just not going to give you goodies on the three-point front because he doesn't know what "stretching the floor" means. Looking at the bright side, he's sustaining a year-long 63% field-goal percentage on a low 5 FGA a game.
Plumlee's upside is to be found on the boards (7+ RPG), surprisingly the assists (for a big man; nearly 3 APG), and the steals (almost 1 SPG) cats. The only reason not to roster Plumlee is the lack of scoring, but other than that the rest of his contributions are absolutely staggering. There are around 20 players averaging his RPG/APG/SPG/BPG this season, and all of them (except Steven Adams) are playing 30+ MPG easily. Sublime addition for every fantasy GM, going way under the radar these days.

Fantasy Basketball Deeper-League Waiver Wire Adds for Week 24: Isaac Okoro, Kris Dunn, Josh Richardson, Corey Kispert, Delon Wright
The deeper a fantasy basketball league, the harder it is to hit a winner with your last few picks. It is also harder to find decent help from the waiver wire if your late-round picks don't do you justice. If you picked up a few stinkers, don't lose hope just yet. I will try to […]
Onyeka Okongwu (SF/PF, ATL): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 16% of leagues ANALYSIS: The Hawks are currently the 10th seed in the East but are also tied for 8th and 9th with Brooklyn and Charlotte respectively. There's even a chance (albeit small) that Atlanta could rise as high as to reach the 7th seed if […]
Immanuel Quickley (PG, NYK): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 48% of leagues ANALYSIS: If we use common basketball sense, then the New York Knicks and Coach Thibs should try and see what the young guys such as Immanuel Quickley have in them and what they can provide the franchise with ROS, as the NYK are […]
Deni Avdija (SG/SF, WAS): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 37% of leagues ANALYSIS: One would reasonably think that a player seeing a playing-time boost such as that of Deni Avdija's this month would make said player drop his efficiency numbers. Well, not the case for the Wiz Wing by the looks of it. Avdija has […]
Nicolas Claxton (PF/C, BRK): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 24% of leagues ANALYSIS: The Nets can finally rest assured they'll make the play-in portion of the season. Not quite what you expected when the season got rolling back in October, but at least more than what the Lakers would have accomplished a week from now. […]
