BALLER MOVE: Add in 2QB Leagues
OWNED IN: 13% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Heading into the 2019 season, Ben Roethlisberger was viewed as a solid late-round quarterback option who would likely put up solid fantasy numbers yet again. Unfortunately for the Steelers, that will not be the case as Roethlisberger will spend the year on Injured Reserve with an elbow issue. Some NFL fans and analysts think this could be the end of him in the NFL. The next man up in Pittsburgh is the Oklahoma State quarterback, Mason Rudolph.
With a wide receiver like JuJu Smith-Schuster and a running back like James Conner, you would think that Rudolph is set up for immediate success and fantasy production. We saw Rudolph put up a decent game on the road in San Francisco, where he threw for 174 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception. Smith-Schuster can be thanked for one of those touchdowns, as he took off for 76-yards and rookie Dionte Johnson caught the other one. Rudolph is a decent option off the waiver wire if you're desperate in 1QB leagues. As for Superflex and 2QB leagues, he's likely already been picked up. Depending on your league settings, Rudolph could very well still be available and he absolutely needs to be rostered.
